Overview:
Were looking for an experienced Manager of Infrastructure & Virtualization to lead a high-performing infrastructure team and take ownership of server operations and escalations. This role requires a solid background in VMware, proven people management experience, and a willingness to be the go-to person when things break.
Top Priorities:
Minimum 2 years of formal people management experience , ideally managing senior-level staff
Deep hands-on VMware experience (required)
Comfortable being on-call 24/7 for any major escalations or outages
Must be located within 2 hours of the data center (Pittsburgh)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Microsoft Azure , Office 365
Core Responsibilities:
Manage the server team and oversee daily operations and project execution
Collaborate with internal teams on issue resolution, system upgrades, and new technology rollouts
Participate in vendor management, contract reviews, and IT product selection
Lead backup management and oversee the development and testing of disaster recovery plans
Act as the final escalation point for unresolved server-related issues
